HI I'm Paulette. DJ by trade and information sponge for the rest of the time. I have what is considered a glamorous job and lifestyle but I also have a real life and a real family and normal every day stuff to appreciate and think about and enjoy. I love the fact that I take the metro, do my own shopping, make my own food, swap recipes with friends and can hang out in a park in the sunshine doing nothing but listen to the breeze blowing. It's empowering to embrace life's normalcy - 99% of the population can never hope to see a G6 up close and in real life let alone ride in one (I haven't ... yet :-) but everything starts with a dream, right?). There are so many ways to enrich your life that don't involve obvious material wealth. Sunrises and sunsets are free and filled with promise of the new, people are essentially good and the landscape (and a fair few cockroaches) will outlive us all no matter what.
Family and friends and music and travel and silence and books and music and art and fashion and literature and cooking and eating and laughing yes laughing so hard that you cry (or want to pee) and living yes living in the now and the every day can touch you in ways so profound that you can never forget, never want to forget and want always to share it. Sometimes even the bullsh*t has its funny side. Just the living of life - from the first breath you take in the morning to every twitch of your eyelids during REM stage sleep makes it truly blessed and beautiful. I, for one, am glad I'm here, alive and well and talking ten to the dozen, so that I can share the things that make me go ooh and aah and oops I did it again with you. It's about staying present. Staying conscious. And being connected. Enjoy.
